Then you should probably spend your time elsewhere. The Sample was a super interesting experiment that I (hey there!) worked on full-time in 2021-2022. In its heyday it referred over 700 new subscribers to participating newsletters each week, largely thanks to the generous folks at Recomendo who featured it.
But ultimately, The Sample's long-term retention wasn't high enough to support sustainable growth. My interpretation is that discovery works better as a feature than a product.
